The online alt text audit

When you enter a page address in the audit tool, our server downloads that public page and analyses the alt text of its images.

• What we keep: the address of the audited page, the date, the resulting score and the number of images per category. This data is used to measure how the tool is used and to produce aggregate statistics on alt text quality.
• Your IP address is never stored: it is turned into a non-reversible fingerprint used only as a counter, to cap the number of audits per hour. That fingerprint is deleted automatically after one hour.
• No image is ever sent to a third-party service, or to any artificial intelligence model. The whole analysis runs on our own server.
• Retention: the history is capped at the 1,000 most recent audits; older entries are deleted.

Only audit pages you are entitled to analyse. If a page address contains personal information, please do not submit it.

Forms

The update-notification form only asks for your email address. It is used solely to tell you about Filikod releases. It is never sold or passed on to anyone, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. That is why you see no consent banner.

One single cookie is used: pll_language, which remembers the language you picked. It is strictly necessary for the site to work and is exempt from consent.

People who log in to the admin area also receive WordPress session cookies.

Fonts

The site fonts (DM Sans) are loaded from the Google Fonts servers, which passes your IP address to Google Ireland Limited. We plan to self-host them to remove that external call.

Server logs

Our host keeps connection logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security and technical diagnostics, in line with its own obligations.

The plugin installed on your site

This one matters: the Filikod plugin installed on your WordPress sends us nothing at all. It contacts no external server, requires no API key, creates no account and uses no artificial intelligence service. Everything it analyses stays on your side.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data. Write to neme@lyode.fr and you will get an answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
